My reasoning is that they are so small there is not much room to get air bubbles anyway. Perhaps a more seasoned chandler can chime in (I've only got 1 year under my belt). I get the dip in the middle that I have to repour for, but not an outright sink hole. I actually posted a pic of sink holes with the wax I was playing around with (not 4794). No, I've never had actual holes in my votives, but I get the dip all the time. I don't poke relief holes though, just fill up the hole with more wax. sudsnwicks Posted September 26, 2007 Share Posted September 26, 2007 Valerie,35 min is too soon to repour. It needs to cool completely in order for the repour to work. 4 hours is typical. Or if your first pouring is at night, then just do the repour the next morning. The first pour should be at 175*F and the repour at 185*F.
