Candle Makin Momma
Help! I am sure there has to be an easier way to do this. I measured out a pound and added the Candy Corn FO. Then I measured part of it into a seperate container for the white, heated it up, poured it into the mold, then reheated, added yellow, etc.You see where I am going with this. How do you do it? Vicky_CO
Well I never make just one but I only melt enough wax for the first layer then I add the FO, dye and pour. While that is cooling I melt the wax for the next layer so on and so forth.
Pam W
I melt the total amt of wax that I need, add FO & additives then separate out into different little pots for coloring. When the various colors are what I want, then I reheat the 1st pot & pour. Set the 2nd pot in the double boiler to be heating while layer #1 is cooling. If I'm making colors that can be changed in the same pot, like white to yellow to orange to red etc, then I just leave all the wax in the same pot, color it for the 1st pour, then change or darken the color to what I want and reheat for the next pour.
