Tricia76
Ok I just made some blueberry cobbler tarts and they didn't turn out as good as the lemon ones..could be because i forgot to put the coconut oil in this time.
macnmyer
You use coconut oil in your tarts? I've never heard of adding carrier oils to wax.
Tricia76
Well I did LOL!! I don't know if I was suppost to or not but I did.And the yellow ones came out of the mold better then the blue ones
macnmyer
You don't have to add the coconut oil to the tarts. Have you tried melting them? Does it impede the throw? Anyway if your having trouble getting them out of the mold pop them in the freezer for five minutes.
Tricia76
No I just used the coconut oil to see what it would do but i didn't on my others.Seems it had like white on the blue ones but not my yellow ones and my yellow ones had coconut oil. blazerina
If these are the ones that were in the Candles and B&B swap- let me attest to the fact that they smell awesome. Would the co account for the extra scent I sniffed in them... I couldn't really pick it out at the time but it was more than just lemon... more cake like and now that you say you added co- would it smell like coconut too? That feels like a stupid q because I've used CO in balms and other things and I don't think it gave it any added scent. So maybe it's just the 'Chiffon' part of the Lemon Chiffon. Whatever it is, they were awesome and 'lingered in the corners of the house here and there' as hubby put it, lol. He hates how I make and burn the yummy food scents and don't make him anything to actually EAT, lol.
Tricia76
I didn't have mine in a swap..I use the co because i use it in my candles so i thought why not in my tarts..the co has no scent its just the lemon chiffon is awesome!
