sweetscents
This may be a very stupid question, or not make any sense, but how many liquid ounces of wax do you get from a pound of wax? Is there a difference? Also, I'm planning on using NatureWax. Thank you in advance!!
NancyJo
There are 20 liquid ounces per pound of wax
Stella1952
The VERY best way to know is to melt one pound of your wax, then measure how many liquid ounces it contains. According to my supplier, 1 pound of soy wax by weight will equal approximately 18 oz. of melted liquid wax by volume. This amount differs among different types and brands of wax. Best to measure your own. Here's a handy calculator to help you estimate how much wax you need to fill a container.http://www.candletech.com/calculator/container.phpPlease remember that when making candles, measurements are expressed by weight and not by volume; thus 1 oz. per pound of FO means 1 WEIGHED ounce, not 1 liquid ounce. FOs do not all weigh the same. Some folks think it doesn't matter - and perhaps for them it doesn't, but when trying to troubleshoot problems, sloppy measuring techniques are a good place to begin the search for solutions. Country Crafter
Your location will also cause some variance, the Imperial Gallon is larger than the U.S. gallon.Wendy
kandlekrazy
The calculation will also change with different waxes as some are heavier than others...just like fo.
