cowgirl
Has anyone used these jars in pure soy? Did you find them hard to wick or is it just me ? They are called 7 oz reverse tapered jar, 3 1/2 H x 3 DThanks for any suggestions
kandlekrazy
Yes, I've tried them. I didn't like the wicking issues with the taper so I switched to the straight sided square tumbler. In order to burn the top, the candle burned way too hot at the bottom and just didn't last as long as I wanted.
cowgirl
That is what I am finding out. I have tried on 2 different occassions. I was hoping someone had better luck. If I can't get these jars wicked I need to figure out something else to use them for. I can't stand the thought of not being able to use them for something. Wickless doesn't work either, takes too dang long for them to melt. At least I only bought 2 cases. Any ideas what I could use them?
kandlekrazy
Wickless should work. What wax are you using in them? I used C3 in them and the whole thing melted...I do leave at least 1/2" at the top so the wax doesn't spill easily if the jar gets bumped while melted. PurpleHippie
Are they larger enough to cover the base of your warmer?
cowgirl
Yep my warmer is big enough to cover the base. It is really old maybe it isn't getting hot enough anymore. Takes forever ! Anyway I will let ya know how it turns out I am gonna try to wick them up one more time in a couple of days
