nayarx8 Posted August 11, 2007 Share Posted August 11, 2007 Ok, found this pattern online a few days ago, and couldnt wait to go get the stuff to make it. Finally made it to Michaels last night. Couldnt find the regular yellow fun fur the pattern asked for, but this yarn was on clearance for $2 and its called Tweety Bird; how perfect! Took about an hour and a half to make. Something I would do differentely is to put some panty hose inside so the stuffing doesnt come through the knitted holes. And, the eyes would look so much better if you use stick or glue-on eyes. This is for my 2 year old, so I had to use the safety eyes and go through the fabric and its always difficult for me to get the eyes straight. And, Id probably make the beak slightly shorter next time. I have enough yarn left over to make at least one more. Anyway, he is a little cute guy, isnt he?!! I think he looks like a... Mr. Peeps (not the candy!), or a Mr. Peepers... Something that incorporates the word 'peep' - because I just love that word. I associate it with all things little and cute.
