menthol?

Hi all, have any of you used menthol in any lotion bases, or any products for that matter? I know its becoming a very popular thing with some friends of mine, who buy it from C.O. Bigelow, or some company like that. LOL But I'd be interested in hearing any of your thoughts or experiences!

I have and I read the recipe wrong. It made a foot lotion that when applied, made me scream....."OOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH" and took my breath away. I have not tried the recipe again but I know from experience the menthol works, and works well--and you don't need very much.

One or two crystals usually packs a pretty big punch already. Be very careful not to overdo the menthol!

I've tried some in my foot salt. Soaked my feet and oooooooooo la la

I have arthrites in my left foot, it sure felt good..... oops @ sp

I've used it in a foot soak and liked it a lot. Did make a note on my recipe though to cut the amount back a bit.

My ankles got very "cold"...not painful, just chilled. The rest of my feet felt great! A tiny bit will do.

I used them in a muscle rub I am working on. So far so good. I added at about 5%. My supplier told me I could add to 15%, but I started on the low side.
