I'm attempting a swirled MP soap but I added the mica to my swirly part too soon. Has anyone ever tried to microwave M&P with mica? MochaMama Posted July 9, 2007 Share Posted July 9, 2007 I actually remelted a lotion bar a couple of times with about 1/4 tsp mica to 2 oz lotion bar in the microwave in a pyrex cup. Nothing happened to the microwave. There was no sparking or anything.Now I remember one time putting a gold rimmed cup in the microwave and it was sparking etc. - didn't have that problem with the mica.Hope this helps.
