candleslh
I need to make 160 votives for a wedding half of them unscented. I don't normally use this wax b/c I really like 1343 and use this all the time. I need to make some creamy looking votives that are unscented. When I do them unscented they don't want to come out of the mold. Can I add something like mineral oil to get them out easier? Any suggestions? julie c
I use 4794, never had a problem getting out of votive molds, Maybe try a little silicone spray/mold release.Julie;)
funkymonkey66
Okay, you want creamy looking votives? Well 4794 is not going to do that with out some additives. If you didn’t already buy the wax check out KYcandlesupply and pick up her 50/50 votive tart blend. Use a 44/24/18 z or c for a standard size votive. They also pop right our and are very creamy. You could also go with Candle science and grab their one pour votive wax. They have a wick guide on there as well.:highfive:
Scented
Hey chica, try it with some mottling oil and see if that helps. Run a search on unscented. I can't remember the ratio of oil to wax to help with release.
