I made a tester the other day with 10% FO and got a perfect MP & great throw, BUT the wick mushroomed a bit and I could smell a tiny bit of a burnt smell. Could this burnt smell be from the shrooming? Should I change the size of my wick or back down on my FO load? Just wondering what I should try first. erinmfritz Posted June 6, 2007 Share Posted June 6, 2007 I also use the same wax but I ust 8-9% FO with ECO wicks. I notice the "burnt smell" sometimes if the candle was on a marathon burn.
