snow
you can add FO to lamp oil? A friend of mine just asked me this, he has unscented lamp oil for his lamps and would like to geet some FO from me to add to it. I told him I had to check if that was safe! I don't know if you can use candle FO or have to have a different type. Anyone know? TIA
MissMary
I'm not sure about the FO's, but I do know that some lamps will not burn fragrances. From what I've read, your traditional huge, flat, wide wick will not light after a short period of time.I'd first check to see what type of lamp he has, then it might be able to be searched a bit easier. Laura
it would just burn off at the flame.
kimmeroo
I used to make those with the silk flowers in the jar and tried to scent them...it didn't work....the FO burned off. HTH...Kimmeroo
Mnhorsemom
JMO but wouldn't it be a waste of fo to put it into a lamp like that? The way you get the scent from a candle is the pool of melted wax not the wick. If you put fo in the oil for a lamp it's inside the lamp so you wouldn't be able to smell it.
