Dee Posted October 3, 2005 Share Posted October 3, 2005 I use wick pins, but have also prewicked and I find no difference, except its just easier to work with wick pins. I also find that if I let the votives cool completely on the first pour, the wax finishes shrinking. Then for the second pour, I slightly melt the tops with my heat gun (three- four at a time) before pouring. Its a bit more work, but they turn out nicer.
