Flowers
I made two testers last night. Brought one to school today to burn. After 3 hours it spilled over the side. Paraffin wax 1343A (10 oz), 1/2 tsp vybar 103, 1 oz FO (strawberries/cream Cajun), UV, LX 22 wick.Should I start with a smaller wick? Or would Stearic Acid make it harder and hold it's shape and not run over?By the way the scent throw is not very good at all....but it is a beautiful red candle! Thanks in advance for any help! topofmurrayhill
Vybar is a hardener, so it can substitute for stearic acid in that respect. You should probably start by testing different wick sizes. LX 22 would typically be way too large. I'd guess LX 16 or 18. If your wicks clog and the flame heights are very inconsistent, you might also consider decreasing FO to 3/4 oz. You just have to experiment until it works. Worry about the scent throw when you have it burning well. Until then it could be misleading.
Flowers
Thank you, Top. I just got this wax. Usually use 4794 and having to add the extras is new to me. I'll try the smaller LX.
Patience
I'd guess LX 16 or 18. Assuming this is a 3" pillar....I vote for the 18.
