MommaD
How long at a time are you burning? You should burn an hour for every inch.
mizbizzyb
From my experience, 4627 takes longer to get close to a full melt pool. For the round tins it takes closer to 4 hours. But if I wick up, I get smoking issues. So, I jut burn longer.
Trish
This wax is so soft, it usually catches up on 3rd and 4th burns. How big of a jar and are you double wicking? You might need to go up to 83's.

Trish
so would you say my candles are OK..I just need to burn them longer??I'm not sure if it's okay or not. How big is your jar? How long has it burned? How many times did you burn? How is the scent throw? When I used this wax, I used two 83's up to two 104's in a 4" wide jar. You may need to wick up. If you've only burned it once for a few hours, I would say you need to burn a few more times and see if it catches up or not...JMO

mizbizzyb
Burn it a few more times....Maybe burn it closer to 3 hours and see how it does. 4627 is tricky to work with but once you get it down, it's a wonderful wax!
Trish
Burn it a few more times....Maybe burn it closer to 3 hours and see how it does. I agree! If you're still not getting a full melt pool, go up to the 83 and see if that helps. Not sure if you've read in the tips for newbies, but when testing wicks in jars, I always pour a jar with NO wick. Use a skewer to poke a hole and stick a wick in. If it's not working after a few burns, yank the wick out with needle nose pliers and try another size. If you already knew this...ignore me!
