nour6128
Hi, I have a silly question about cleansing on soap calc. I know that 100%OO castile soap is mild but is still supposed to clean your skin but on soap calc it gives 0% cleansing? Does this mean that it doesn't clean your skin? I don't think so but was hoping that someone with more knowledge and experience could help explain it to me.Thanks,nour6128
RobinInOR
It shows 0% because those percentages are just totals of the amount of each individual fatty acid that contributes to that category. OO doesn't have any lauric acid, so that's why the 0%. Soap in general is a cleanser because of it's structure, but lauric acid contributes "more' in a cleansing sense - it attracts dirt and oils more. Crafty1_AJ
100% olive oil soap *does* clean, and very gently as far as soaps go!
nour6128
Thanks for the replies. I thought that it must clean because its soap but was confused by what I saw on soap calc. Is everyone else getting multiple messages from your yahoo group? I am getting up to six copies of the same message.nour6128
