kitkat
Hello everyone..I have been over on the soy candle board for 2 years now.. and I really want to make or play with the hurricanes.. Now I have read all the tips on the techniques & ideas board.. but any one who makes them my question is.. what size mold / sleeve do you use.. where do I buy them from.. and how the heck do you get your arrangements to stay in place before and after you pour the wax??? I have seen some beautiful pics in the gallerys of people who make them..and I am just stumped about how the get all that detail to stay in one place in the mold with out it sinking to the bottom before you even pour there wax????.. thanks for any help.. Sal
I'm not an expert on what molds you can use, but I have seen molds for sale that say they are for hurricanes. http://www.peakcandle.com. Look under mold section to find hurricanes. I think the molds are just missing wick holes. Hope this helps.Sal
sharyl55
Check under Techniques & Ideas on the left of this screen. Alan has posted some good instructions for making embedded hurricanes. Most candle supply places have hurricane molds and inserts. I know that Peak does. Good Luck.
