southernscents
I am trying to make shower gel. I am using a base from WSP. All of the ones I made turned out fine, but one type (Pink VS kind) I made was thin and watery. Can you stir the shower gel to much and cause it to be thin? I know I have read adding to much oil can do this, but I thought mayeb I stirred it too much.TIAAmy
sheila sullivan
I haven't noticed stirring affecting mine at all. Decrease your FO just the slightest amounts...it will make a big difference...Jasmine does that for me, normally to 24 ounces of shower gel, I add 1/2 tsp FO...with jasmine, I have to add slightly less or it's all watery...I use the same base as my bubble bath, and add a little more FO MAKING it more watery and it's great....mixes with the water better, being that it's thinner. southernscents
I didn't think it would be from stirring, but wanted to make sure, lol.TY
Crafty1
i use the base from BCN, mine does the same think with Pink Sugar. I belive it is the fragrance. Try to use much less FO next time
Trejen
Its not from stirring but add some crothix and it will thicken back up. I love WSP shower gel and haven't had that problem with theirs but did with BCN. Just use less fo.

gerrie
I agree, it seems to be certain scents that thin the base. I learned to start off with a small amount of FO, sure is easier to add more oil than cups and cups of gel to try to get the right consistency.
