VickiB in CA
I've had a customer or 2 ask if I could add virgin olive oil to my wax to scent a candle. Some like the old fashioned smell of it. I hadn't thought of it before but just may try it if nobody sees a reason not to. It's basically a type of vegetable oil isn't it? Or, like my jar supplier warned me this morning - You're going to blow your store up!! Any responses will be helpful - VickiB in CA
Lorrie
I don't think that you would blow up your store. I would think that it would smoke like crazy... I know that people say if you add crisco to your candles that they will smoke like crazy do I would think that Olive oil would too.Sorry I couldn't help more but I haven't heard of Olive oil in candles before! ChrisR
I agree that adding the olive oil would more than likely make a smoking candle. Genwax has an olive oil FO you may want to try instead!! Most of their scents do great at right around 1 oz./lb.
