Still looking for natural preservatives.

I'm still researching natural options for lotion preservatives. I have heard benzoin gum and potassium sorbate work. Does anyone have any success using these without having to use the parabens?

I tried a product called Neopein that claimed it was a natural, effective mold and fungus inhibitor. My lotion stayed mold free for about a week. In its defense, it was about 100 degrees in my house at this time though. And I didn't sterilize anything before I made it.

Has anyone ever use this product with success?

Do you guys who make lotion get it tested with labs to ensure its ability to stand up to mold?
