ladysj
Okay I am testing a 10 ounce wine glass 3 1/2 inch diameter using a 51-32-18z It's melting to the edges leaving just a little bit of wax which from my understaning is what it should do. However, I'm having alot of smoking when I blow it out. What is causing this? Could it be the fo possibly? This was made (I know don't shoot me it's for personal use only I'm using only gel safe in all others) with a fo block I bought from Michael's. I've had no burning problems so far just the smoking.TIA for any help
Vicky_CO
I actually think that is more to do with the wick. I get a lot more smoking in gel and soy waxes than anything else when putting them out. I personaly think it has to do with the fact we are using such large wicks to get good burns.
ladysj
So then I'm just going to have to deal with the smoking after blowouts in order to get a proper melt right and also do you have problems with mushrooming with them also? Thanks Vicky for your help you're great!!Sandra
Vicky_CO
Yea I do have problems with mushrooming that is why when ever I can I try to use the HTP or LX wicks but I only feel comfortable using those in short candles like pies.
