CareBear
I have been asked to make more "fisherman's cleanup" soap. I HP'd it before with coffee grounds and lemongrass EO, but goodness I HATE HPing. SO...1. Will lemongrass EO hold up in CP?2. Will the coffee grounds stay evenly distributed in CP at medium trace? Labgal
I have a Kitchen soap that I made using Lemongrass EO and coffee grounds. Still smells strong after 4 months and as you can see by the pic, the coffee grounds are pretty well dispersed
CareBear
Labgirl, that looks GREAT!! How much EO did you use?
Labgal
.7 oz ppo. Got some ash but smells great!!
Crafty1_AJ
Yes, lemongrass eo in soap works great. I've used it in both CP and HP. Either way, very good sticking power. And yes, I agree -- corn meal, coffee grounds, etc. will be well-distributed and stay put if you add them at a medium-thick trace. CareBear
Thanks everyone! I put mine in at 0.84oz ppo cause I couldn't bear to leave those last few grams in the bottle. And I used 3 TBLS dry & fluffy used coffee grounds. The grounds seem to be nicely suspended.Put it into an oval PVC pipe mold, and then scrambled for a mold for the extra - and all I could find were my heart silicone shapes - I'm sure the fishermen will LOVE those! LOL!!!
SpaceGirl
Too bad Valentine's is over and done with for the year -- sounds like those heart soaps would have been perfect!
sudsnwicks
Is this intended for use after returning from fishing, or after returning from fishing and cleaning the fish? Because the latter really stinks, and so I would be interested to know if it's effective enough for that.
CareBear
Do you fish? I'll send you some (assuming it ever comes out of the mold, gol darn it). It's intended to remove fish stink.
sudsnwicks
I don't fish, but my FIL does and he was asking me to make him a soap to get rid of the stink after he's through cleaning his catch. I never got down to it but if yours works then I might give it a try.
