Vicky_CO
You need to use cosmetic grade glitter. You don't buy it buy the pound at most places but buy the ounce. It run between $1.60 tp $2.99 an ounce.
Luci
I'm not sure about all glitter because I've only bought it from a candle supplier that is labeled gel safe. But, I will tell you this---a tiny, and I mean TINY bit goes a long, long, way!
citygrl707
what about the kind they sell at like walgreens for craft projects ? I dont know what cosmetic means? Sorry
Trae
The craft store glitter is larger than cosmetic glitter and will clog your wick. Cosmetic glitter is very fine. I'm not sure you can get it in craft stores but there is a ton of places online that sell it.
Vicky_CO
On top of it being bigger a lot of the glitter you find in craft store are made with a paper products which is not safe for gel. What cosmetic grade means is that is is safe to use in make-up products.
