soycrazy
Has anyone used allantoin before in lotions? I would love to make a whipped butter with it, but not sure how to use it.
BLSoaps
Allantoin is a powder that needs to be dissolved in water. It won't dissolve in oil. You'll have little gritty pieces in your butter.
jakedog
I used it in a new lip gloss/butter that I am testing. The first day it was gritty but after 24 hours it has a completly smooth texture. I don't know why, but I'm not complaining. At first I thought I would have to pitch the whole batch but now I am totally addicted.
soycrazy
Great thanks, any lotion I buy with allantoin heals my hands pretty fast so I figure I have a go at making my own
