Joanne
Does anyone know if putting EO's in a hot tub will create problems for the tub? Friends of mine are renting a house with a hot tub at the beach for a week and I thought it would be fun to include a 'party' basket for them to enjoy. stacien
It depends if it will hurt the pump. I can't think it would be too bad because we run pumps in jacuzzi tubs and use bubble baths and salts. Obviously you are going to be in an area where there is a beach which means pools. Call up a pool tech in the area and ask, its a yes or no question for them.
cindym
I think you might want to use water based fo's for a hot tub.
Mimmi
yes you can and its very enjoyable. my hot tub came with a scent pack. pumps tolerate the water chemicals, so it can handle essential oils too.
ah-soy
Wow...I think it would take a lot of essential oils to scent a hot tub!
Mimmi
Wow...I think it would take a lot of essential oils to scent a hot tub!na, you dont need much. its not suppose to be as strong as a tart or candle. just a little scent for relaxation. the warm water and steam help the scent throw. CareBear
be cautious in your choices - hot water opens your pores, and you're in the water an extended period - so absorption into the skin coudl be an issue with some EOs.
