Brenda (OH)
When wicking these with pre-tabbed wicks do you remove the wick tab or leave it in place before leveling?

Brenda (OH)
Thanks for replying Michelle - I too leave mine in place. I have seen pillar holders with the pointed "do hickey" that you can secure the pillar and was wondering if I should remove the wick tabs for versatility between these and a plate. Patience
I was using the wick tabs...and then a friend pointed out that he couldn't secure the bottom to his pillar holder. Since I've stopped using the tabs I find it easier to level.

topofmurrayhill
It's safer to remove it and ensure the candle extinguishes itself when it gets near the bottom. Otherwise, if the user isn't paying attention, it's likely to keep going until there's a lit wick sitting in a puddle of wax. With any luck it's in a holder, but maybe not.
