ebarnes Posted January 25, 2007 Share Posted January 25, 2007 Im going to try making Body Butter next week. I have on order Shae, Mango & Cocoa. Where do I start? Do I need to add a preservative? Is there a rule of thumb? Can I create it to what I want it to be? (Shae & Cocao=Body butter for blemishes, strech marks etc....). stacien Posted January 31, 2007 Share Posted January 31, 2007 You might want to try Kimberly's shea body butter recipe. It seems to be the easiest on this site. I tried and you can substitute if you don't have certain oils or butters. I read on a site that its usually a 4:2 ratio of butters to oils. Other than that play around.
