tackwill
Can someone please help me with why my cool citrus basil candle will not stay the color bayberry. I use 1dye chip & 1 oz of oil per 1 lb wax. It is a pretty bayberry color for awhile and then it loses its green and turns this ugly color. Sunlight does make this happen quicker but it is not like a sun streak it is the whole candle.
tlc26
Try using some UV inhibitor. The sunlight will change the entire candle color. I had this problem with purples and some lighter blues. Remember a little goes a long way. I use it in every candle, not just certain colorsSome links for the UVPeak http://www.peakcandle.com/Merchant2/merchant.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=PCMS&Product_Code=UVInhibitNG http://www.naturesgardencandles.com/candlemaking-soap-supplies/item/ca-4http://www.brighterscents.com/uvinhibitor.htmlIf you read this description it gives a pretty good idea of what and why!http://candles.genwax.com/candles/___0___Z500140.htm
MaryinCary
Yep...what TLC said. I wouldn't make a candle without it.
