candlecrazyinwv
I am trying to make Incense Sticks. They smell good but my problem is that the smell will come and go. It will be good for about 5-10 minutes and then go away and smell like smoke and then come back again. I am using 50% DPG and 50% FO with BCN's Incense sticks. I let the sticks soak in this mixture for 24 hours and then dry for about 3-4 days on window screen material. The FO was Lavendar from Peak. Any reccomendations??? Need to get this right for a store interested in buying from me.
Scented
Soak them longer? I do a 1:1 on the DPG too. Generally I soak mine for 24-36 hours, but its always taken them longer to dry out, so Im wondering if yours are completely dry.
candlecrazyinwv
I'm sure they are dry. Some have been out of the soaking mixture for a week or two before I tested them. Guess we can try soaking them longer because I don't see using more FO.
wheels
It could be that the resin at that point of the stick just didn't absorb the fragrance oil like other parts of the stick...I have always used charcoal sticks they are the best for absorption,\... candlecrazyinwv
Can you save me some researching time and tell me where to buy charcoal sticks. I have only seen the ones I bought at BCN.
Scented
Check out SOS (Save On Scents). I could swear they carried them.
candlecrazyinwv
Checked SOS, they don't carry them, just the wood ones.
