Candle Man
For those that use cyclo for sprays here's the answer for color!I did some testing. I mixed the oil base color for lip balm with FCO in a dropper bottle then used that mixture for my color and it WORKED GREAT. I guess you could use any light or dry oil for the mix.I mixed almost 1oz of oil with drops of color. You will need to add more color to the oil or this mix will be very light. Just adjust to your taste and test.Hope you find this info helpful.Candle Man
sockmonkey
Does this mix get separated in the cyclo?

Candle Man
The dye by itself did not sem to mix very well and it was much to dark for a body spray. As posted above, when the dye is mixed with an oil the color mixed very well in the cyclo and stayed mixed also the color is much better. Now remember if your Fo is dark it will affect the finished product color. IE- If your FO is really yellow and you want a blue spray you will get a green color.Hope this helps those that use cyclo for a spray.Candle Man
diamondk
I guess I am getting confused when you say oil base colors. Can you use oxides this way for coloring? TIA
Candle Man
I guess I am getting confused when you say oil base colors. Can you use oxides this way for coloring? TIAI don't know if that would work or not. I use the liquid color for lip balm because it is an oil base color no water base like the color you use in lotion, shower gel etc. This is where I get mine other suppliers may carry it alsohttp://www.thesage.com/catalog/LipBalmColors,OilSoluble.html
Myquie
Has anyone tried using oxides to color cyclo? Are they oil soluble? I've never used them so I don't know but there's a co-op for them going on now so I wonder...anyone?~Michelle~
