Daria Blue
I am switching over to using ecosoya wax and I was wondering what was the most preferred kind of wick? The candles that I make are pillar candles, generally between 2.5 to 4 inches wide. I have never used hemp wicks before but I'm interested in giving them a try and I was hoping to get some advice, comments and suggestions using them with soy wax.Any feedback would be greatly appreciated! Thanks. heidijo
I am myself a novice with Ecosoya, but have been experimenting with HTP wicking. The CB Advanced in an 8 oz. jelly with 1 oz/1 lb of FO and liquid dye can sustain an HTP 1212 wick. However, in some cases that has been too hot, thus I'm awaiting more sizes and plan to try an HTP 126. The PB votives seem to need a particularly large wick and I'm also awaiting the HTP 73 to try in these to avoid hangup. HTH.
jakalex
I use Ecosoya CB135 and prefer RRD or HTP's with most of my containers. There are a few I use LX wicks in. I would say my favorite is the RRD. The scent throw seems to be better with that wick for some reason?????
scentlady
Haven't made candles in awhile but when I did I used cb135 and used only hemp core wicks. they worked great for me
