Bill
Well I happened to be out at my daughters karate class last night and took a walk down to some stores and looked at the Yankee's and White Barns and so forth and all can say is I feel better, lol. I never noticed how terrible some of the big name candles can look! I have to keep in mind that it's all about the quality of the burn and the cold and hot throws, not so much the appearance. Don't get me wrong, I am still going to look at perfeting my candles, but I just won't put as much importance on it as I was before.
Patience
Using a heat gun to smooth out the top of a container is what sets it apart from a machine made candle. Just a nice finishing touch.
larrycat
Well I've never encountered anything that looks like that. Hope someone comes along who has!The only time I ever had that problem was when I tried to trim the wick before the wax was "completely" cooled! Now I let them set for a few days before I trim the wicks!
