topofmurrayhill
Unfragranced wax poured hot into a clean mold just isn't likely to have all those bubbles.I see a snow spot on the side and I'd still guess that top edge probably has a crystallization effect. Generally, good plain candles are made with paraffin plus an additive for good crystal structure, so I'd try that.BTW, you might get slightly different results depending on the water bath temperature. Tap water can be pretty cold in the winter, so maybe it's a crystallization effect based on temperature shock.
