mayamoon
The W Hotels burn candles in their lobbies and the scent changes seasonally. I am trying to find a way to duplicate the "Coman" scent before all of their candles are sold out. Does anybody here know how to reverse engineer a "designer" scent? (FYI, their candles are manufactured by Bluewick Candle Co.) Thanks for any help - I know this is a weird query!
NewOrleansLady
There are a couple of places that can attempt a dupe....I've used both of them with great success. One is Taylored Concepts and the other is WillowWoods. I'd e-mail them first to make sure they still do this. All I did was send them a chunk of candle and they did the rest. TxSioux
I, too, would recommend Taylored Concepts. Can't remember the guy's name that owns it, but he's a mad scientist when it comes to making & duping fo's. Not sure how much it costs to dupe, but he still does it.Susan. Erin Lea
The Taylored Concepts guy is Robert. I was just there the other day...wish I'd known they do dupes. Maybe it's just me, but most of their FOs smell like the same thing...I was hoping to be able to get most of mine through them, but I wasn't impressed. I only carry their Buttercream Supreme & Christmas Splendor. I was especially uncomfortable with their dupe selection...they smelled nothing like the original fragrances...So, for me, even if I had known they do custom dupes, I wouldn't choose them.
