junebug
Is it idiot proof? I have made a few test candles with it. After the candle cured, eyeballing it, the wick seems off center to me. These were 4 oz tins.TIA~!
The_Dallas_Texas_Dean
Is it a good fit? If so, and you are using stick ums, you have to MAKE SURE the wick tab is centered on the magnet or you can get a wick that is off centered. Ask me how I know. Tess
The wick setter just provides, a fool proof way of setting the tab in the middle. You have to make sure you set the wick straight during the cooling process. Like using a clothespin or wick holder. If you accidentally move the clothes pin after you have set it, yes your wick will be a little off. HTH.
junebug
Thanks for the very much needed advice!!!!I use stickums, and wick setters, the metal ones with the v in the center, but I did improvise and use a metal tablespoon as a wick setter; bad, bad, bad!!!I only have 2 wicksetters for now, really all I need, as it is a hobby for now...LOL!!! As I small the wafting FO's in the candles across the room
