Joni
Hi...I am wondering if anyone could help me....I bought some Xmas tree candy molds that have the hole to place the stick in....anyone have any idea of what I could use to plug this hole so the wax doesnt run through? I tried a search but had trouble with finding anything.TIA!!Joni
gmp
I've used my hot glue gun. PLug it up, then while it's no longer hot but still tacky, mold it with your finger. Worked pretty well for me.
CaliZona
I have some of those too. I bought some kids modeling clay to seal the holes. I haven't tried it yet, but thought it might work. Good luck!
blazerina
I've used sucker molds for soap and what I use to plug the sucker outlet is that yellow or blue putty that is for hanging posters with out pushpins. It doesn't take much of anything that will initially stop the flow and then it sets pretty quick as most candy molds hold smaller amounts and thus cool faster. Fimo or something of the like would probably also work as it would handle the heat of hot wax.

stacien
I tried that with pillar molds and it melted the clay all over.
stacien
The candle mold sealer is the same substance as the tacky wax. I haven't had any problems so far with it.
