White Lotus
The mold seal on my candle molds is coming off during the pour. I have tried temps from 170 - 200 and get the same results. Slower pouring doesn't help. I set the mold in a shallow dish of water, just to cover the seal, but ended up with bubbles on my candle top. I can't find any info on this. :cry2:Could the problem be with high humidity?
Scented
It may need to dry out a little or you may need to try new mold seal.
SheilaW
Or go with the tried and true trusty metal tape and put the mold sealer away for good:wink2:
Kay
I just searched this same question yesterday & someone told me about Genwax's Jiffy wicker. I went to www.genwax.com & looked at their jiffy wicker...I ordered it right away. It looks so much easier & not as messier. I to have had that problem & it was driving me crazy. I was thinking I was doing something wrong. Check out Genwax....& Good Luck!Kay
Scented
Your mold seal could be filled with wax too, which will make it hard to stick.
White Lotus
I'll keep working on it. Thanks for the tips.
