Ahuff
I have made the room spray for friends and family, and have decided to sell it along with my candles. I was curious at what price point everyone is sucessfully selling it? Before you flame, yes I have determined my cost and what I need to sell it at. Just curious as to the market spread. I have seen it in my area at $4-$12 for 4 oz bottle. Thanks,Alex
Raggedy Dani
usually, 4oz is between 4-6 dollarsand 8oz is between 7-9 dollars.depends on how good the quality is and the packaging is.HTHDani

smart tart
If it goes for up to $12 for 4 oz in your area, then I would definitely go for the $12......if you find it isn't selling well, reduce your price, have a sale, or do a 2 for 1...or buy a candle and get room spray for 1/2 price. I love those little 'gimmicks' and they seem to work well in my area. People love to get 'bargains'! And you are getting them to try something they might not have tried without the 'incentive' - potential return customers. All that being said, I charge $6 for 4 oz or 2 for $10.....or buy one bar of soap and get 1 for half price....lol (told ya, I like the gimmicks) And I think alot of the pricing depends upon the container you are using - I am currently using very plain clear spray containers - I have seen some very nice packaging and know that they are more spendy than the ones I use. Just don't think my market could bear more $$.
Chele
Funny thing about Room Spray and Linen Spray... when we first started making it I priced it using my usual mark up... and rarely sold any. I was stunned because the packaging was cute.. product was great... price was insanely reasonable. Finally figured out it why it wasn't selling.. and it was the low price. Soooooo I went with the smaller bottle and up'd the price and sell it like crazy. I think if it's too cheap they think it's not good. I say go as high as you can... you can always go down. We get $6.00 for a 4 oz bottle.HTH,Chele

Ahuff
Thanks for the response everyone! I have another line of gift items that didn't sell well until I doubled the price. Cost vs value is strictly a personal perception, and in this country we are taught that more expensive items are always the superior product. Thanks again,Alex
