jldorrington
i know soy is to soft to make a pillar out of by itself... can i just add beeswax or do i have to add vybar (sp?) and if i can just add beeswax how much to a pound of wax? i know these are prob stupid questions to alot of you so bear with me lol
Henryk
First off, vybar does nothing in soy. Also, container soy is made to adhere to glass (though you will usually get wetspots anyway), so you will have an issue with getting it out of your molds. Finally, more than a few % of BW in container soy will greatly increase your chances of having the soy crack. So, its really just not worth it. My advice would be to simply buy a pillar soy wax instead of trying to make a product do what it was not designed to do.HTH!

creeksidecandles
try a soy wax that is designed for pillars....such as Eco-soy's PB blend. It's made for pillars and votives.
