Anna
I have just started making and testing votives.I am testing Pink Sugar fo (1 oz PP)made with 4794.I started out with a cd5,it was to big,so I put a cd4 in another one,and it's to big.I trimed the wick short, but the flame gets too big.Any suggestion(SP)what I should do.Do they make a smaller cd wick than cd4.lol.It is a 2 oz votive in a 2 oz votive holder. Thanks,Anna
Judette
I just test burned the same scent in a votive. An LX 10 worked best for me. If you have any in a sampler pack, give it a try. :highfive:Edited: Whoops! The Pink Sugar I tested needed LX12 It was the Calla Lily that was the LX10. Dee
I use the same wax and usually start out my testing at lx 12 because that's often the one that turns out to be the best for me.

Candle Man
If you did not know, Pink Sugar has a lot of vanilla in it and will require a larger wick, than other scents that are not heavy or have vanilla in them.
Anna
Candleman, why is the flame getting to big with the cd4.I thought cd4 was the smallest in the cd's. Thanks
raginabr
According to this page, http://www.candlewic.com/candle-wicks/pop-spools.asp CD wicks go as small as CD2. That being said, I always had the problem of the CD wicks burning too hot in my votive wax. I ended up going with LX wicks. Usually a LX 10 works well for me.
