Denise06
What is the net. weight of an 8oz. mason jar with 5.5 oz. soy and 3/4 oz. fo? The jar holds 6.25oz. soy. would I put 5.50 net. weight or 6.25oz. net. weight? Not sure what to put on my label.
Accents
The net weight is the candle weight without the jar, so 6.25 oz.
Candle Man
The best way to find your measurement is first set an empty jar on the scale then tear out the jar weight. Then weigh several jars to find the average. My 8oz JJ's average 6oz's some are a little more but some weight only 6oz's. So by the rules of Weight's & Measures you can have less than whats in there, on the label, but not more.
Crafty1_AJ
I pour roughly 7 oz. of product into my square masons. It's actually a bit more but I round down a bit for the label to leave room for a slight error, because I handpour them and eyeball them so the jars are equally filled -- I don't weigh each jar as I fill.hth
