Icing?

I am wanting to make some drizzle to pour over paraffin cakes. I will be using a mixture of gel and paraffin and whipping very little. I've only ever made the icing out of paraffin, so does anyone have a starting point as to what amount of each I should start testing with? I don't have but a few lbs of gel, so I don't have alot for screw ups,,,LOL TIA Portia
