(OOPS) What will my Pillars look like?

Recommended Posts

I just realized, after pouring the second layer of 8 Rustics that I added Luster Crystals instead of UV inhibitor to them.

Both of the bags they're in look the same and the product looks the same!

What do you suppose they'll come out looking like, before I continue with finishing them?

Ugggghhhhhh

Kinda sorta like you added Vybar.

What does the Vybar make it look like?
More opaque -- the color will be lighter/brighter. If you get any mottling in your rustics, that will probably eliminate it. You'll still get a cold-pour effect but I can't guess how different the surface finish will look. If you thought it was UV then you probably didn't use very much.

That's all saying that your lustre crystals melted in the wax too.

Now see my UV is yellowish and the lustre crystals are a fine white powder. That white powder doesn't melt very well till the wax gets hot enough and melts much easier placed over direct heat in something and then add wax to it.

This is just my stuff and where I use from.

You'll also get more shine and more white with lustre crystals.
