coolspringcandle
I am not satified with a batch of tarts that I made last night. Can you remelt them and repour or would the fragrnace burn off too much when remelting them? I think I put too much color in there they had this off color splotchiness (is that a word?) to some of them.
coolspringcandle
Anyone have a thought on this?
joyofsoycandle
My personal opinion is that maybe if you remelted them at a low temp and hurried to repour, that hopefully they would be ok. Maybe they wouldnt last quite as long as they would before but they shouldnt be too bad. If you didnt already put the max amount of FO in, then you could add more when they are melted. If it already has the max, then i wouldnt sell them if you had planned to, cause it may loose just a little of the scent when remelting. Hope that helps! Pam W
you won't lose any FO if you don't heat for too long or too high - I do it all the time and no problem. You can refresh the FO with a few add'l drops if you feel you need it.
AngelaVA
Yes, remelting is not a problem as long as you don't heat the wax too hot or leave it hot for too long. If you want, you can add a few more drops of FO
