In the descriprions of the frangrances I see "FP~ 185". Is that the maximum temperature for that fragrance or the temperature you should add it? terryb44256 Posted September 11, 2006 Share Posted September 11, 2006 just so you know, the FP~185 is the flash point temperature at which that fragrance oil by itself will begin to burn if it comes in contact with a heat source. once mixed into the wax you're good to go... Crafty1_AJ Posted September 11, 2006 Share Posted September 11, 2006 Flashpoint means the temperature at which it will ignite if exposed to an open flame. It's a concern for shipping, because low flashpoint fragrance oils (below 141 degrees or so -- I may be off a degree) cannot be shipped via air. They have to go ground transportation only.
