6228 Pillar Wax ?

Anyone use this for tarts or votives? And if so how did it work out for you?

I used this wax for pillars and found it to have a great scent throw and good burning capabilities, so I do not see why it would not work for votives. It may be a bit too hard of a wax to get a good scent throw from tarts, but you could add some soy wax to it to soften it a bit which would help the scent throw. The best way to find out is to test some votives and tarts with it. HTH

mix the 6228 with your container blend....75% 6228 and 25% container (soft) wax....works/throws great in tarts.....

for votives it is awesome....the only problem with 6228 is it is getting increasingly more difficult to find.....

I used a couple of cases of it. I found that it shrinks way more than 4794 or 4671. I repoured most of my tarts when using this wax. But it has a good throw and looks nice.

Thanks again everyone, I was asking b/c I came across 3 slabs in my work room so thought I would use it up some how instead of having to order more wax. I did pour a clam shell with this wax and it poured real nice. Just letting it cure for a couple of days and then will test. But I do want to try adding some soy wax to it like you've suggested.
