GAREY
Hi, periodically I buy candles from other candlemakers simply because they are so good. Recently, I have purchased a candle that had a great scent throw everytime but when I open the jar the top of the wax is all flaky and chipped up - looks like it came out of the box. It was solid till I touched it then it flaked to pieces. The candle burned fine though no problems. DOES ANYONE KNOW WHAT TYPE SOY WAX THIS IS??????????? Just wondering. islandgirl
You can always call them and ask the company what type of wax they use???Anyhow...Soy Wax comes in flakes.. Some companys put little wax embeds on top.. http://www.swancreekcandle.com/ETS... Maybe their candle has some major frosting issue going on????HTH
Candle Man
That is the natural look in a 100% soy candle, sometimes even worse. Sometimes they can be smooth on top, then when they are burned and the wax sets up, they form an ugly top.I don't make 100% soy anymore because of the frosting & ugly tops.
