Noodle
I am looking for a totally kick butt sweet potato pie scent for MP soap and shower gel. Any advice on a good one?
Sharon in PA
I really love KY's SPP, Not sure if it is skin safe though! HTH!
wookie130
There are lots of nice SPP's out there...but I have yet to find one that is soap/skin safe. Good luck!
Noodle
Well, if anyone can find a skin safe one, PLEASE let me know. I have had many requests for this in a soap.
dixylight
I love KY's as well but I don't think it is skin safe because I would have soaped it long ago...lol.:smiley2:

LynnS
I bet it has a hint of spicey scent in it.Apple Pie is another one that is not able to be in soap if I remember. Some apple scents I think can be used in soap and lotion. The trick is you have to observe and not make mistakes on this.It can burn the skin I am sure.My grandma used to make carrot pie.I loved it but think the Sweet Potato is more spicey.Alot like the Carrot pie.She was afraid to tell me because she thought I would not eat it but I LOVED it. I bet Sweet Potato Pie is a awesome candle even if it cannot be used for soap or lotion.LynnS
Noodle
I don't make candles. I also do a few things to make spicy scents non irritating to the skin. I was just hoping that I could find this scent and play around with it.
Crafty1_AJ
Could you sub a *pumpkin* spice fo? Pumpkin and sweet potato scents smell pretty similar to my nose. Although I've not seen a skin-safe sweet potato (never looked for one, to be honest), I *have* seen skin-safe pumpkin fo's.Just food for thought ... Noodle
Do the two really smell the same? I never knew this because I have actually never smelled Sweet Potato Pie. I make a ton of body stuff in Pumpkin Pie in the fall, so maybe that would clash then if the scents smelled so similar.
NicolezCreationz
NG has the bomb Sweet Potato Pie fo. It was one of my best sellers last year. Not B&B safe though:( No! Sweet Potato Pie and Pumpkin Pie do not smell nor do they taste the same. Totally different. I much prefer Sweet Potato Pie myselfHTHNicole
