Contract Manufacturing

I've never done this many CANDLES, but I have had big orders for bathbombs that size before.

If I can give you any advice at all with these big orders is, do NOT give them price breaks that will break you. ALWAYS add the cost of your overhead in with the product (and from what I remember, yours was $12,000.00 a month *gulp*), try to keep yourself at the 50% profit mark as much as possible & if they don't consider your offer, take it on the chin & know that another order will come along.

I had a company (very well known in the US) come to me to make their bathbombs. He literally wanted to pay 20% over my cost, but his markup was 750%. It was tough to tell him no considering his account would have been the only one I would ever need again.

Was that stupid of me? No, I don't think so as I am doing ok without him ;)
