teddybear
Hobby Lobby has Crafty Candles brand parafin wax 10lbs for 9.99. Is that good quality wax or should I try and find another brand? Also, I have lots of old crayons, can they be used as a dye in a candle?
eugenia
Go ahead and buy a slab of the wax to play with. Crayons don't make good colorants; they clog the wick. You should be able to pick up some candle dye when you purchase the wax.

raginabr
Just remember that this is a plain wax. It doesn't have any additives so you will need to add some vybar, etc. I use it for my votives and add vybar to get a good throw. It works really well. Georgia
Sign up at hobbylobby.com and they send you coupons in an e-mail!This wax is just fine for playing and learning. The fragrances there are pretty bad though so you might want to try a sample pack from an on-line supplier.
