water slide decals

I saw water decals on candles and it said they were safe to burn, does anyone know if this is true? It looked interesting but i wouldnt want a candle to start on fire. Anyone used these? Thanks Lin

Hmmmmm, I can't answer you for sure Lin. I did some on a 4X9 but put a votive cup in the top. It was meant as a "Forever" or "Keepsake" candle. I also did some on votive holders with the bride/groom name and date. They didn't come loose or discolor from any warmth generated from burning the votives. That's about all I can tell you about the ones I did.

Lin, I vaguely remember some posts on the old board in the general section by someone who had tried applying the decals on pillars and burning them. Had to be in the last year. Can't find it right now and can't remember what the results were. I'll have time to look more later this week.

Aren't these what some are using on hurricanes? I guess that doesnt' help ya much if you are wanting to do them on a pillar though huh?

I am just doing a hurricane and using the water decal paper. this is my first one using them. I would suppose it would be alright if you wicked down so you had a good shell. I will let you know how mine turns out.
